Cheriogotis Announces Updates To Azalea City Golf Course

Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis has announced changes coming to the city-owned Azalea City Golf Course. The Mobile City Council approved a purchase to install a Tagmarshal Golf Cart GPS geofencing system to allow for the tracking of golf carts in the case of an emergency and prevent them from driving on sensitive areas. The council also recently approved a contract with Richard Mandell Golf Architecture to create a master plan to improve Azalea City’s operations and course. This consultant will evaluate everything from drainage and paths to the course’s management and design.
