M&M To Open Second Mobile Branch

MOBILE, Ala. — Pascagoula-based Merchants & Marine Bank (M&M), a wholly owned subsidiary of Merchants & Marine Bancorp, Inc., plans to open a new location in Mobile’s Lower Dauphin Street Commercial District at 5 North Royal Street. The building includes a full-service branch, as well as executive offices. Once three stories, the building is thought to have been built in the early to mid-1800s. Since purchasing the property in 2020, the bank has made efforts to retain and restore as many original elements as possible to preserve the building’s character, while incorporating modern office features. Lyndsay Baronet has been named retail bank manager of the downtown Mobile branch. She will continue to manage the bank’s first Mobile location at 6161 Airport Boulevard. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new location is planned for August 2.
