Kid Chefs Best On The Bay Coming Up

Nonprofit The Cookery Project is holding the second Kid Chefs Best on the Bay on March 25 at 4-7 p.m. at 23 East Venue at Brookley in Mobile. Volunteers are welcome for this event, which is a “mystery basket” style cooking exhibition highlighting local chef personalities working alongside kid chefs. Advance tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for children 4-12, with those younger being admitted free. Admission includes catered dinner, music by DJ Fergg, children- and adult-friendly beverages, door prizes, a silent auction, a photo booth, and games. Participating local chefs include Arwen Rice of Red or White, Jonavin Murray with Thrive by Chef Jonavin Murray, and Chef Wade Price with Slurp Society. Funds raised support The Cookery Project’s efforts to engage and empower youth through multicomponent culinary interventions including food sourcing, nutrition education and culinary experiences.
