USA Announces AI Certification Program

The University of South Alabama (USA) has announced a four-course edge AI certification program. The first two, $600 each, are “Introduction to Edge AI Techniques: Machine Learning” and “Deploying Edge AI.” The introductory-level course for machine learning will focus on supervised learning. A small part of unsupervised learning and a conceptual part of the neural network will also be explored in this class as well. Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to use Python machine learning libraries to solve practical problems and visualize data in low-dimension space via dimension reduction techniques. “Deploying Edge AI” is designed for engineers, scientists, product managers and decision-makers. The high-level guide will provide a workflow and framework for solving real-world problems using edge AI. Classes will begin on April 9 and April 8, 2025, respectively, on Zoom twice weekly for six weeks.
