MSO Announces “Bohemia”
The Mobile Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is featuring Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in its “Bohemia” program on November 8 at 7:30 p.m. and November 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Saenger Theatre Mobile. The concert also includes two works MSO says capture the spirit of Bohemia: Leoš Janáček’s Lachian Dances and Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8. “Nestled between our two Bohemian masterpieces, we feature one of the country’s finest clarinetists: MSO’s own Jonathan Holden,” Robert J. Seebacher, guest conductor, said. “He brings us Mozart’s astoundingly virtuosic Clarinet Concerto.” Tickets are $20-$99. TakeNote, an informative pre-concert talk by Seebacher, begins at 6:30 p.m. before Saturday’s performance and 1:30 p.m. before Sunday’s performance in Room 1927 adjacent to the theater’s entrance on Joachim Street.
