MAC, SHC Partner To Expand Arts For Students

The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) and Spring Hill College (SHC) have announced a partnership designed to expand access to arts programming for students in Greater Mobile. Built on a shared commitment to service, the collaboration will bring a series of artist residencies, hands-on workshops and exhibitions hosted on the SHC campus, connecting students with professional artists and creative programming while extending Mobile’s arts community beyond downtown. The partnership will launch with a hands-on anthotype photography workshop led by local artist and cultural contributor Wayne McNeil on March 14 at SHC’s Murphy Fine Arts building. The workshop will introduce participants to an early photographic process that uses plant-based materials to create images.
