Hargrove Foundation Expands Gala Event With Inaugural Full-Day Summit
The Hargrove Foundation will host its 11th annual Summit & Gala on November 19 at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile. The foundation is expanding its signature event into a full day of programming, combining speakers, networking and an evening of celebration featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Mac McAnally. The daytime summit will begin at 11:30 a.m. with an opening luncheon featuring Ben Raines, an award-winning journalist, filmmaker and author of The Last Slave Ship. Summit guests will also hear from Lulu Gribbin, founder of the Lulu Strong Foundation, whose remarkable story of resilience has inspired people across the nation. Following a life-changing shark attack in 2024, Gribbin transformed her experience into a mission of advocacy and service. She helped lead the effort behind Lulu’s Law, which was signed into federal law in 2026 to improve shark attack alert systems and public safety. Sebastian Terry, creator of the global 100things movement, will also be featured as a guest speaker. After the loss of a close friend prompted him to re-evaluate his life, Terry embarked on a journey to complete 100 personal goals. The evening gala will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception followed by a dinner featuring a performance by McAnally.
