ADCNR Public Meetings Announced

The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) will host three public meetings to discuss potential regulation changes and the status of several saltwater species. The meetings are open to the public and will take place on November 19 at 6-7:30 p.m. at the Spanish Fort Community Center, on November 21 at 6-7:30 p.m. at the Orange Beach Event Center at the Wharf and on December 3 at 6-7:30 p.m. at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center. They will also be available to join virtually here. Topics for discussion include retention of bag limits by captain and crew of Alabama commercial party boats, removing allowance for oversized red drum, tripletail and sheepshead status, creating bag and size limits for common snook, creating a bag limit for skates and stingrays, commercial flounder limits, commercial shark fishing in Alabama waters and red snapper status.
