Drop Anchor Song Fest To Benefit Coastal Conservation Association

Drop Anchor Song Fest, a free concert on the water, is scheduled for June 7 at 2-6 p.m. on the Montrose Crescent at latitude 30.5650, longitude 87.9050 in Mobile Bay. Those with a boat, sailboat, canoe, trawler, dinghy, yacht or kayak are invited to drop anchor to benefit the Coastal Conservation Association of Alabama and its effort to keep local waters clean. Attendees may enjoy live music by Grateful Dead cover band and local favorite East L.A. Fadeaway, fresh boatside oysters from Isle Dauphine and more. An award will be given to the best boat. “We are so excited to be creating this new event for our boating community,” said Ameri’ca Tickle, event coordinator for Drop Anchor. “Drop Anchor Song Fest is all about celebrating and preserving the thing that makes life here on the coast exceptional.” For more information, email Tickle.
