Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest Winners Announced

The 2025 Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest has announced its winners from the nearly 2,000 photos entered. Local winners were Will Childers, second place in “Alabama State Parks”; Mark Watts, second place and Brien Keith, honorable mention in “Birds”; Christopher Jessee, third place in “Wildlife”; Timothy David Huber, first place and Arthur James Davis, honorable mention in “Cold-Blooded Critters”; Virginia Mitchell, second place, Brent Eanes, third place and Elizabeth Marie Renevier, honorable mention in “Sweet Home Alabama”; Renevier, honorable mention in “Nature-Based Recreation”; Davis, secondo place in “Shoots and Roots”; Joshua Norman Smith, third place in “Scenic”; and Finn Jerome Larche (age 14), second place and Margaret Lamey Singleton (age 16), honorable mention in “Young Photographers.” The contest is a joint project between the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) and Alabama Tourism Department. Each winner will receive a prize pack and be featured in a traveling exhibit this year.
