MAC To Kick Off Two Watercolor Exhibits On October 10

The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) is presenting two distinguished exhibitions in October showcasing the Watercolor Society of Alabama and the Watercolor & Graphic Arts Society of Mobile. Opening receptions will be held during LoDa ArtWalk on October 10 at 6-9 p.m. at its gallery at Room 1927 adjacent to Saenger Theatre Mobile. The nonprofit Watercolor & Graphic Arts Society of Mobile was founded in 1948 as the Watercolor Society of Mobile and is among the oldest arts organizations in Alabama. The Watercolor Society of Alabama was established in 1939 and has been a driving force in advancing the art of watercolor statewide and nationally. The society hosts multiple juried competitions each year, including the Annual National Exhibition, the Alabama Members Showcase and its Online Showcase.
