MMofA Market, Open House

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is kicking off summer with a Makers Market and Open House on June 18 at 3-6 p.m. The event will include local shopping, live music, food trucks, art activities and free museum admission. Local artisans will feature a variety of handmade items, such as jewelry, pottery, self-care products and baked goods. Music will be by the Bailiwick Brothers. MMA’s newest special exhibition, 3 American Artists, will be open with an interactive, community art activity led by artist Monica Beasley (BBN #91). Local artist Lucy Gafford will also lead a creative art activity celebrating her museum installation, Fantastical Forest. Finally, artist Dixon Stetler will introduce her site-specific installation,A Nest of One’s Own.
