MMofA Summer Camps Coming Up

The Mobile Museum of Art (MMofA) is hosting summer art camps for ages 5-16. Taught by trained art professionals, each class is customized by age group to explore concepts relating to the elements and principles of art, famous artists and the MMofA museum collection. Tours in MMofA’s galleries will include “FOR CHILDREN: The Elements of Art & Design” and “DECADES: Looking Back/Moving Forward.” There will be in-depth teaching of art knowledge and hands-on art activities. All camps will run Monday through Friday, with registration available for morning (9 a.m.-noon), afternoon (1-4 p.m.) or full-day (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) sessions. Camps for ages 5-7 and 8-11 will take place June 10-14, July 8-12 and July 15-19, and camps for ages 12 and older will take place on June 24-28 and July 22-26. Costs are $125 for a half-day week and $250 for a full-day week for MMofA members and $175 for a half-day week and $350 for a full-day week for nonmembers.
