Mobile Arts Council Hosting Botanical Arts Society Exhibition

The Mobile Arts Council will host the American Society of Botanical Arts’ (ASBA) “Square in Mobile? You Must be Kidding!” The small-works exhibition is part of the 2023 ASBA Mobile Conference and will be on view to the public from October 6-31. The exhibition will be presented in conjunction with the botanical art collection of Dr. Bill Barrick together with the works of Louise Estes, courtesy of Bellingrath Botanical Gardens. There will be a reception sponsored by Greer’s Markets at the Mobile Arts Council Gallery on October 12 at 6-8 p.m. for conference attendees. “We are excited about this opportunity to share our members’ work with the visitors to Downtown Mobile and to present to you an outstanding exhibition of fine botanical paintings and drawings by local, national and international botanical artists,” said Derek Norman.
