Mobile Arts Council Receives Cares Grant

The Mobile Arts Council reported on Facebook that it has been approved for a $50,000 award as part of the National Endowment for the Arts’ (NEA) Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. This grant will go toward salary and other facility expenses. The National Endowment for the Arts awarded funds to more than 800 nonprofit arts organizations across the country to help their employees endure the economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 national crisis. According to the post, the Mobile Arts Council is the only organization in Mobile to receive support through the NEA portion of the CARES Act.
