Mobile Opera Announces La Canterina

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Opera is presenting La Canterina (“The Diva”) on February 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Murphy High School Auditorium in Mobile. The comedic chamber opera by Joseph Haydn is a farcical tale concerning the double-dealing of a modestly talented but beautiful opera singer, Gasparina. It will be performed in Italian with English subtitles. Tickets may be purchased here.
