Native American Experience Coming To Dauphin Island

The Dauphin Island Native American Experience is taking place on March 22 at 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island. Tribal members from the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Florida Seminole Tribe and more will be on hand to provide interactive demonstrations of activities such as stickball, pottery making, Native American dancing, canoe carving and bead work. There will also be cultural displays, and tickets include a self-guided tour of Fort Gaines. Admission is $15 for those 13 and older, $10 for those aged 5-12 and free for those 4 and younger. Tickets are nonrefundable; the event will be held rain or shine.
