New Classical Ballet Of Mobile Performance Announced

Classical Ballet of Mobile is presenting a triple-bill production on May 20 at 2 p.m. at Murphy High School’s Lois Jean Delaney Auditorium in a gala-style performance entitled "Dance Dans le Jardin" (French for "Dance in the Garden"). Ballerinas will celebrate spring with a mixed repertory bill featuring excerpts from Don Quixote, Le Corsaire and the lyric ballet “Walpurgis Night” from Charles Gounod’s opera Faust. “Each selection is highly technical but [interlaces] ballet students from all levels of the Classical Ballet of Mobile Academy—which is no small feat. Ensemble pieces are challenging enough, but to see the beauty of an entire school dance side-by-side in a garden full of ballerinas will be an unforgettable spectacle,” Classical Ballet of Mobile explained. It has uploaded a promotional video here.
