Next MSYO Concert Set For November 6

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra (MSYO) will open its season with the Grand Canyon Suite, a concert featuring some of the most talented student musicians on the Gulf Coast under the direction of international conductor Dr. Iván del Prado on November 6 at 2:30 p.m. at the Saenger Theatre Mobile. The concert opens with Piotr Tchaikovsky’s “Marche Slave.” Next is “Clarinet Concert No. 3” by Carl Stamitz featuring clarinetist Ian Gonzales, winner of the MSYO Concerto Competition. The concert ends with American composer Ferde Grofe’s “Grand Canyon Suite.” Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
