Shoemaker Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Fairhope-based producer and engineer Trina Shoemaker is among the Americana Music Association’s 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award honorees, AL.com reported. Shoemaker, a winner of multiple Grammy Awards, has worked with a wide array of noteworthy artists including Stephen Curtis Chapman, Sheryl Crow, Tanya Tucker and The Indigo Girls. She is also affiliated with the Dauphin Street Sound studio in Mobile. Shoemaker is the first woman to receive the Americana Producer/Engineer Lifetime Honor and the first woman to win a Grammy for best engineered album. The awards will be presented at AmericanaFest, being held on September 22-25 in Nashville.
