Tours Behind The Scenes At History Museum Of Mobile

The History Museum of Mobile is hosting a behind-the-scenes look at its collection on July 25 at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The tours will facilitate an up-close look at more than 117,000 objects, some of which have never been on display before and include the oldest items in the museum’s vault. Curators will discuss the particular environmental, handling and housing factors needed to prevent damage and ensure the preservation of the objects they collect, safeguard and interpret. The 1-hour tours are free for members. For nonmembers, they are $20 for those 18 and older and $15 for those younger. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
