Truckworx Makes Big Changes in Mobile
Longtime Kenworth Truck dealer for Alabama and Mississippi Truckworx, Inc. has named Matt Dobbins its new vice president for the southern region. Dobbins will oversee all aspects of business for the company’s four southernmost dealerships, all in Alabama: Mobile, Thomasville, Dothan and Montgomery. Dobbins has worked at Truckworx for seven years: first as its Mobile service manager and then as its branch manager. Since he was appointed to the position in 2015, Truckworx-Mobile’s overall yearly revenue has increased by 98%, and it has added 10 employees. Additionally at this location, 15-year Truckworx employee Nathan Shirah, who worked most recently as the company’s service manager, is taking over Dobbins’ role. Shirah’s former position, in turn, is being filled by Ben Wolfe, who has worked in the company’s service department since 2015.
Additionally, two new management positions were created at Truckworx-Mobile to accommodate the growing business. Kandice Morgan, previously service advisor, stepped into a newly created assistant service manager role. She will be responsible for managing overall productivity and minimizing customer downtime by focusing on productivity of technicians and improving customer communications. Ethel Casher-Moore, who has been the dealership’s office administrator since starting with the company in 2018, has been promoted to the new office manager position. Going forward, she will oversee all accounting functions for the dealership.
