Bancorpsouth, Cadence Complete Merger

The merger of Tupelo, Mississippi-based BancorpSouth Bank, with three branches each in Mobile and Baldwin counties, and Atlanta-based Cadence Bank has concluded, WLTX reports. Now a $6-billion institution operating under the Cadence name, the bank will have dual headquarters in Houston and Tupelo, with operations centers in Tupelo and Birmingham (BBN #37). BancorpSouth Bank will continue operating under its old brand until the completion of systems integration, which is expected in late 2022. The company said customers should not see immediate changes and should continue using their current services.
