Hancock Whitney Names Community Development Advisors
Hancock Whitney has announced its 15-member Community Development Advisory Council. Made up of housing, small business, economic development and media professionals, the “council provides guidance and advice to help the bank recognize and develop new opportunities furthering financial and economic health for individuals, businesses, communities and other stakeholders,” the bank says. The members are as follows: Sylvia Alvarez, Housing & Education Alliance founder and CEO; Rebecca Byrne, The Community Foundation of South Alabama president and CEO; Dr. Irvin “PeDro” Cohen, Local Initiatives Support Corp. Jacksonville executive director; Rip Daniels, JZ 94.5 CEO and host; David Francis, Verite News executive director; Angel Greer, Coastal Family Health Center CEO; Calvin Mackie, STEM NOLA president and CEO; Mike Manning, Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank president and CEO; Monica Medina, Austin Housing Conservancy president; Judy Reese Morse, Urban League of Louisiana president and CEO; Sharon Nicholls, Small Business Development Center, Mississippi State director; Mayra Pineda, Louisiana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce president and CEO; Linda Toyota, LIFTFUND Texas vice president community engagement development; Melvin Washington, Small Business Development Center, Alabama director; and C.
