New Horizons Awards $5,000 In Scholarships

Mobile-based New Horizons Credit Union recently awarded five deserving high school seniors each with a $1,000 scholarship as part of an ongoing 24-year program based on academic achievement, community involvement and essay responses. The recipients are Jaiden Russell from the Alabama School of Math & Science in Mobile, Nolan Allen from Mary G. Montgomery High School in Mobile, Kamarin Powe from Daphne High School in Daphne, Elizabeth Martin from Davidson High School in Mobile and Kelsen-Ann Davis from Clarke Preparatory School in Grove Hill, Ala. The opportunity was provided through a program linked to the students’ New Horizons New Wave Youth Savings Accounts.
