Synovus To Donate $1.76 Million

Synovus Bank, with branches in Mobile and Baldwin counties, has announced a commitment to give $1.76 million to support education, needs-based, and health and wellness causes throughout the states in which it operates: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee. There will be 278 recipients of the funds, including organizations with local or regional impact across the Synovus footprint. Special consideration was given to groups that support the creation and sustainment of affordable housing, help low-to-moderate income communities, deliver financial education and literacy programs, and encourage economic development. The donations reflect a 47% increase in Synovus awards compared to 2021. Synovus’ 2023 corporate donation application period will open on July 1. More information is available here.
