Advanced Manufacturing Day Coming Up

Mobile’s Innovation Portal is hosting Advanced Manufacturing Technology Day on April 9 at its headquarters at 358 Saint Louis Street. The first session, at 10-11:30 a.m., is “Workforce Development,” which is centered around the importance and benefits of advanced manufacturing for the workforce of the future. A lunch-and-learn will take place at 12-1:30 p.m. Though the event is free, registration is required for lunch, when 3DOLOGiE will explain how 3D printing and scanning are transforming the manufacturing landscape. “Business Professionals” will take place at 1:30-4 p.m. with advanced manufacturing equipment and an exploration of the benefits it can provide for businesses. There will be interactive, live demonstrations of 3D printers and 3D scanners and conversation with startups at Innovation Portal. Finally, there will be a happy hour at 4-6 p.m.
