APEX Accelerator Events For April

Three APEX Accelerator events are being held in Mobile in April. First is the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Certification Workshop on April 6 at Bishop State Community College. Presented by FSB Architects & Engineers, the Mobile Airport Authority and Norman Hill Consulting Solutions, it aims to support the authority’s objective of increasing the number and involvement of certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms in the construction of the new Mobile International Airport International Terminal. Two events will be held on April 23 at the Mobile Chamber. Federal Government Contracting: What Can the SBA Do for You? will be held at 9:30-10:30 a.m. It starts with a general overview of what the Small Business Administration (SBA) is and the tools it offers to small businesses. It then gives a general view of the prime contracting program from SBA’s office of government contracting, which explores programs and market research. How to Do Business with GSA will be held at 10:30-11:30 a.m. It will explain what the General Services Administration (GSA) is and what it procures. It will also provide details on what GSA buys and how small businesses can find opportunities. There is no charge to attend the events, but those planning to attend are asked to register in advance.
