NAWBO Opens Alabama Chapter

Alabama recently became home to the newest National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) chapter, NAWBO recently announced. Dr. Valerie James, chief leadership, learning and efficiency officer at VisionSpot Consulting Group, LLC of Mobile, has been working with peers to make connections with other women entrepreneurs in Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, Huntsville and Tuscaloosa. Now that they have enough members to form a chapter, she has been named its inaugural president. Representing more than 11.6 million women-owned businesses with chapters across the U.S., NAWBO’s charter is to deliver connection, education and support. It is holding a spring membership drive during March 1-April 30.
