Cake Day Taking Place Tomorrow

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber has announced the inaugural Coastal Alabama Kid Entrepreneurs (CAKE) Day for May 11 in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Foley. With the goal of teaching elementary-aged students the basics of entrepreneurship through workshops that cover topics like branding, marketing, finance and stand building, the program helps students open their businesses for one day. “It’s really amazing how much effort the students have put into our program,” Penny Hughey, vice president of events & programs for the chamber, explained. “We’ve had students go all out on their stands, design logos, and some have even shot commercials.” A full list of stands and locations is available at the website.
