Coastal Chamber Announces Shred Day

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber has announced the return of the Annual E-Cycling & Shred Day, scheduled for January 8 at 8 a.m.-noon at the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion on East Beach Boulevard. The annual event is organized by the chamber, the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach and Gulf State Park, and is sponsored by Riviera Utilities and Baldwin County Sewer Service. The companies performing the shredding and e-cycling are Gilmore Services of Mobile and Coastal E-Cycle of Pensacola. The free event allows individuals to bring up to 50 lb. of personal paper documents to be shredded per vehicle. Items such as small paper clips do not need to be removed, but bags or boxes are not to be tied or taped. Any electronics, such as TVs, computers, vacuums, printers and power tools, are allowed for disposal, but all batteries are excepted.
