Coastal Chamber E-Cycling, Shred Day Coming Up

The Coastal Alabama Business Chamber and cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach will host the Annual E-Cycling & Shred Day on January 7, 2023, at 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Gulf State Park Beach Pavilion on East Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores. The free event will have volunteers on hand to quickly remove items from attendees’ vehicles. Volunteers will include the chamber’s Junior Leadership students, who will be collecting tips for their program. Each vehicle is limited to 50 pounds of shred items, and attendees are asked to not tape or tie bags or boxes. Any electronic items, except for batteries of any type, may be brought. All collected items will be disposed of by participating companies Gilmore Services and Coastal E-Cycle. The 2022 event saw the collection of 8,000 pounds of shred items and 6,500 pounds of electronics.
