Eastern Shore Chamber Foundation Program Recognized

The Eastern Shore Chamber Foundation has been recognized as a 2025-2026 Alabama Work-Based Learning Best Practices winner by the Alabama Department of Workforce and the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship for its Bridge Internship Program. The program connects high school seniors with paid internships at local businesses and industries. Students earn $15 per hour while gaining hands-on experience, career mentoring and professional skills. The foundation said the award recognizes the impact of investing in the future workforce and the strong partnerships the foundation has built with employers across South Alabama.
