Eastern Shore Young Professionals Presents Fundraising Check

The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals recently presented a $2,900 check to the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The money was raised at the group’s annual cornhole tournament. The money will aid the foundation’s Youth Leadership Program and Student Training and Exploration Program (STEP). The Youth Leadership Program is an intensive seven-month program designed to provide Eastern Shore high school students with the opportunity to gain a greater knowledge about their community, develop strong leadership skills and gain more self and social awareness. STEP is a four-year leadership and career pathway exploration initiative. It introduces 9th-12th graders to local high-demand careers, while connecting classwork with skills needed in the workplace.
