Magnolia Run Taking Place Tomorrow

The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is holding the Magnolia Run, a 5K run, 5K race/walk and 1-mi. fun run, tomorrow at 8-11 a.m. at Jesse’s Restaurant in Magnolia Springs. Approximately 300 typically take part in the annual event. Registration, opening at 6:30 a.m., is $25 for the fun run and $40 for each of the other events. A portion of the fees will be donated to charity. The run is stroller and dog friendly. Post-race activities for runners include music and food provided by Jesse’s Restaurant. Awards for the USA Track & Field-certified run will be presented three deep in 16 age groups for each gender, as well as “Male & Female Overall,” “Masters,” “Grand Masters,” “Senior Grand Masters” and “Wheelchair.” There will also be awards for the walk and fun run, with each participant of the latter receiving a participation medal.
