Mobile Chamber Awards Deadline Approaching, New Nominations Open

MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Chamber has announced that the deadline to submit applications for its Small Business of the Year Award is May 31 at 5 p.m. An independent selection committee will then select three finalists to be honored at a reception on August 25, during which the winner will be announced. The review will evaluate all submissions and choose the finalists from the information provided in the areas of “Business Growth,” “Operations and Impact,” “Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” “Business Strategy,” “Customer Service and Market Strategy,” and “Community Involvement.” Those to be considered must have been in operation for at least five years and Mobile Chamber members for three years and have 100 or fewer employees, among other qualifications. Finalists will be featured in Business View, on social media and on the chamber’s lobby monitors. They will also be nominated to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year competition.
