Mobile Chamber Names Director

According to the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business View, Christina Stimpson was named the Mobile Area Chamber’s director of economic development. In this position, Stimpson will manage all business development and expansion project activity, international and domestic, and oversee the Chamber’s international trade program, data and research. She joined the Chamber in 2009, and was promoted to director of international trade in 2013. Stimpson holds a bachelor’s degree in Apparel Merchandising, Design and Production Management from Auburn University and received additional training at the Basic Economic Development Course at Georgia Tech. She has participated in the Alabama Leadership Initiative, is a graduate of Leadership Mobile and was recognized nationally in Development Counsellors International’s and Mobile Bay Monthly’s “40 Under 40” lists. Stimpson serves on the boards of University of South Alabama’s Global USA, the Japan American Society of Alabama, the Alabama World Trade Association and the Alabama District Export Council.
