Mobile Chamber’s Showcase Mobile Promotes Industry

The Mobile Chamber welcomed more than 120 juniors and seniors from 10 universities for its second annual Showcase Mobile, a three-day career exploration event held March 23-25. The immersive experience introduced them to Mobile’s industries and connected them with local employers. Students participated in exclusive industry tours on March 24, visiting companies such as Airbus, AM/NS Calvert, APM Terminals, Austal USA, Continental Aerospace Technologies, Evonik, Hargrove Engineers + Constructors, the Mobile Airport Authority, the South Alabama Logistics Park and SSAB. This facilitated firsthand insight into the high-demand, high-wage career paths available in the region. The event concluded with a career fair, in which students networked with potential employers, including Daher Aerospace, Jedson Engineering, Thompson Engineering and Volkert, in addition to the companies that gave the industry tours.
