Southwest Mobile County Chamber Welcomes Students

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. — The Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed and congratulated the 2022-2023 class of its Tillman’s Corner Area Learning Leadership (TALL) Program, Clayton Howell, Molly Kate Blair, Anna Watson, Ashlyn Buskness, Chase Travis, Rae Bell, Blake Moore, Jimmie Beth Kuntz, Gracie Vo, Madison Ivey and Trent Thomas. The local high school seniors met certain requirements to be selected and will receive a $1,500 scholarship at the end of their term. The eight-month program offers experiences to empower selected participants to emerge as leaders and trustees of the community. It is designed to inform, motivate and increase the awareness of each participant through interaction with community leaders, training seminars, field trips and volunteering for various community events. TALL participants will receive firsthand knowledge of local economic, political and social issues impacting the community and will garner leadership skills by building relationships with peers and community leaders, broaden their awareness of community needs and learn what it takes to become a consensus builder and effective decision maker.
