SWMCC Announces Christmas Events

The Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce (SWMCC) has announced several Christmas-themed events for the holiday season. First is its Christmas Tree Lighting for November 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center. There will be hot cocoa, cookies, vendors, entertainment and more. Those interested in having a booth may contact SWMCC at email through November 17. Next is the chamber’s VIP Pancakes and Pajamas with Santa on December 1 at 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center. Tickets are on sale for $25. Each child will receive a small gift, a pancake breakfast, a craft and a photo with Santa. SWMCC’s Annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa will take place the next day, December 2, at 8-10 a.m. at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center. Breakfast is free for children ages 10 and younger, and others may purchase breakfast for $5 per person. Finally, the SWMCC Annual Christmas Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. on December 2 at W.C. Griggs Elementary School. Floats will compete to win this year’s gingerbread-themed competition. Those interested in participating should contact the chamber at phone: 251-666-2846 or email.
