SWMCC Food Drive Runs Through November 18

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. — The Southwest Mobile County Chamber of Commerce (SWMCC) has begun a “Show Your Colors” food drive, taking place through November 18. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to collect food during the month, donating for the Alabama Crimson Tide or Auburn Tigers, “to see who really has the best fans.” The chamber will be working with local schools to distribute Thanksgiving food boxes. In addition to nonperishable food items and turkeys, SWMCC also accepts cash donations and gift cards. Donations may be dropped off at the Tillman’s Corner Community Center, and partnerships may be set up by calling 251-666-2846.
