Foley Main Street Foundation Launches Initiative

Foley Main Street’s Community Foundation has launched the Friends of Downtown Foley initiative. “There is a new energy building in Downtown Foley,” the foundation said. “From vibrant murals and public art to the sounds of local music, the district is transforming into a destination for both residents and visitors. The ‘Friends’ program was created to turn this momentum into a sustainable community movement.” Contributions to the program are to go directly toward high-impact projects that enhance the beauty and safety of the district, including artistic crosswalks and murals to creatively bring color to the streets, the creation and enhancement of community spaces, public art on every corner of the historic district and live performances to fill the streets with local talent. Local art and music initiatives will receive 75% of all donations and gain the power to vote on future projects.
