12 Mile Creek Stabilization Program To Benefit Langan Park

The nonprofit Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP) and members of its construction and consultant team are stabilizing 1,800 ft of headwaters in 12 Mile Creek. “The goal of this project is to reduce the energy of stormwater and sediment loads traveling down 12 Mile Creek and into Langan Lake, which will pair nicely with the other ongoing improvement projects we have already started in and around Langan Park,” Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson said. “We are always thankful for our outside partnerships with organizations like MBNEP that help make Mobile a better place to live.”
