Businesses To Clean Up Causeway

MOBILE, Ala. — Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP), a Mobile-based coalition of business and education leaders who share the vision of applying science-based environmental best practices to business and community issues, is holding A Cause to Clean on May 14 at 8-11 a.m. Lunch will be provided afterward. The event will begin on the west side of the Causeway, with parking, registration and restrooms available at 1 Dunlap. Litter will be picked up along the western portion of Battleship Parkway, from Austal USA’s facilities to Felix’s Fish Camp. Attendees are asked to bring their own reusable water bottle, but vests, gloves, garbage bags and pickers will be provided. In addition to PEP, the event is organized and sponsored by the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program and TC Boiler & Piping. PEP is asking companies to encourage their employees to volunteer at email by May 10.
