Living Shorelines Workshop Coming To NERR

A Living Shorelines Workshop for marine contractors, landscapers and consultants is coming to the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) in Fairhope on March 11 at 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Organized by the Coastal Conservation and Restoration Program, it will cover growing a business to meet the demand of living shoreline projects. There will be an introduction to living shorelines; an explanation of site suitability, design and permitting considerations; a discussion on cost estimates; and an introduction to free assistance programs and resources, all by local experts. The workshop is free and Includes lunch.
