Highland Adds Senior Project Manager

The Highland Group, a real estate development and commercial construction firm, recently announced the hire of Craig Blackburn as senior project manager for the Alabama Gulf Coast region. Blackburn brings more than 25 years of experience in the commercial construction industry and executive oversight in various market sectors to Highland. He most recently served as the vice president of construction for a national commercial construction firm, managing a team of project managers and focusing primarily on expansive retail and warehouse spaces. Blackburn holds a BS in building construction from Auburn University and serves as a member of the Auburn University Industry Advisory Council. As senior project manager, he will spearhead construction operations throughout the region. His primary responsibilities will include directing and coordinating the construction team and all subcontractors, guaranteeing the availability of tools, equipment and materials; drafting reports; negotiating contracts; and conducting risk analyses.
