MD Thomas Construction Awarded Contract For Gulf State Park Pier Repair

MD Thomas Construction of Orange Beach has been awarded the contract for the $13-million Gulf State Park Pier repair project, OBA reports. The company will also be working on repairs at Perdido Pass Park. The pier, an important landmark in the Gulf Shores area, was damaged by Hurricane Sally in 2020 just one day after a $2-million project to install an observation deck on the octagon and new decking and railing was completed. The project is expected to begin before November 1 and is expected to take several months to complete.
