Safety Summit Coming Up

The Academy of Craft Training’s Mobile campus, in partnership with the City of Mobile, is collaborating with the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama to organize the 2023 Safety Summit at the Academy of Craft Training on October 18 at 1-7 p.m. The event is intended for contractors and safety experts to come together to share insights. Frank Wampol of Birmingham-based BL Harbert International will be the keynote speaker. He will speak on mental health/suicide prevention in construction. There will be demonstrations on a variety of safety equipment, lockout/tagout, traffic safety, CPR and more. A vendor showcase will exhibit recent safety products. This event is open to everyone in the construction industry but is focused on people who are on jobsites, tradespeople, supervisors and superintendents.
