Harvey & Thomas Orthodontics Named A Small Business Of The Year Finalist

Harvey & Thomas Orthodontics, a Mobile Chamber member for 27 years, has been named a finalist for the Mobile Chamber’s Small Business of the Year award. Originally Keith Harvey Ortho, Harvey & Thomas Orthodontics traces its roots back to the 1990s. Since its rebranding in 2016, the practice has seen growth, doubling its team from 21 employees in 2022 to 45 in 2023. This expansion has included the addition of a third orthodontist, the opening of a new location in Saraland and the acquisition of a longstanding practice from a retiring orthodontist. The practice donates 20 to 30 sets of braces annually to children in need and participates in community events such as the Mobile Chamber’s Business Expo, bridal shows, pet festivals and car shows. Additionally, the practice has restructured its payment options to make orthodontic care more accessible. Its school initiatives include hosting teacher appreciation meals, organizing “Stock the Bookbag” giveaways for students, and sponsoring back-to-school and end-of-year celebrations. The practice also offers mentorship opportunities by inviting students to shadow its doctors and staff, providing insights into careers in orthodontics. Its doctors also volunteer at Children’s Rehabilitation Services.
