Baldwin County Names Sharp Assistant Superintendent

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — Joe Sharp has been appointed assistant superintendent for Baldwin County Public Schools, Gulf Coast Media reported. Most recently principal at Robertsdale High School, Sharp joins assistant superintendents Hope Zeanah and Marty McRae to focus on academics and school improvement at the secondary level. He has spent 30 years in education, with the last 17 in administration. During his time at Robertsdale High, he and his team increased the school’s State Report Card scores, the student advanced placement and American College Testing scores and the school’s graduation rate, which was at 90% in 2021. The school also earned National Institute for STEM Education certification under Sharp’s leadership.
